Omose

The Omose Standard.

Eight rules every pair works under. They are in the contract.

  1. The going rate. Always.

Pay is the going rate for the role and the area. We check it.

  2. A real apprenticeship.

An approved standard, a registered training provider and a qualification at the end.

  3. Signed before day one.

Host, apprentice and Omose all sign. Nobody starts on a handshake.

  4. The money sits with neither side.

The fund is held away from the host’s business and away from Omose. Both sides can see it.

  5. The same numbers on both screens.

Nothing about the contract or the fund is shown to one side and hidden from the other.

  6. The apprentice reads every word.

Anything a host writes about an apprentice, the apprentice can read.

  7. Your own name.

On the own-company route, the apprentice trades under their own name and owes no royalty. Omose takes no share of any business.

  8. The owner trains the next.

Every new owner agrees to host an apprentice of their own within three years.

What Omose will never do.

  • Own a stake in a host or in a new owner’s business.
  • Hold the fund, or lend to anyone.
  • Share a person’s data with a funder without their consent.
  • Charge anyone to apply or to be an apprentice.

If the Standard is broken.

Either side can raise a concern privately with a coordinator. Disputes go to mediation, then arbitration. A host who breaks the Standard can be removed from the network.
